Last Christmas Posting Dates – USA, Canada, Japan and Eastern Europe
Today, Thursday 10th December 2009, is the last Christmas posting date for international airmail by Royal Mail to the following countries:
- USA
- Canada
- Japan
- Eastern Europe (Croatia, Albania, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic etc)
Airmail generally takes between 5 and 7 days, but due to high volumes of Christmas mail this can be slightly longer at Christmas time.
Royal Mail advises to ensure you have the right address, as well as the correct postage to avoid any delays to your Christmas cards and gifts.
For the USA, please remember to use the ZIP code which is America’s version of the UK’s postcode and comprise of 5 numbers. Addresses in Canada use a postal code which consists of 6 characters, for example K1A 0B1.
The last posting date for the remainder of international airmail is tomorrow, Friday 11th December, which is for Western Europe.
