International Surface Mail Last Posting Dates for Christmas 2010
Surface is a much cheaper alternative to Airmail, although the time it takes can be up between 6-8 weeks to get there which means posting early is a must. Obviously at Christmas this is even more important and here’s the last recommended posting dates as provided by Royal Mail:

South Africa, Hong Kong, Singapore, the USA and Canada

Eastern Europe, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Malta and Iceland
Tuesday 23rd November 2010

when is the last date to send a card to australia by sea and how much will it cost
The way Royal Mail is being run at the moment you should have posted your item by August 2008 to ensure delivery for Christmas 2010
